"Was in the area and stopped here for a bite. Had some grilled chicken wings, chicken drumsticks and garlic naan. Food was good and great value for money. Shame I love outside their delivery area. Would recommend."

"I recently visited Amelia’s in Purley and honestly it was such a lovely surprise. It is one of those places you walk past and do not realise how good it actually is until you try it. The atmosphere is really warm and relaxed and the staff were genuinely welcoming, not in a forced way but in the way that makes you feel comfortable straight away. The food was excellent. Everything tasted fresh and full of flavour and you can tell it is cooked properly rather than rushed out of the kitchen. The spices were really well balanced and the portions were generous too, which is always a bonus. What stood out most for me is that it felt like a place that cares about what it serves. It is not trying to be flashy, it is just really good food done well. Purley is lucky to have somewhere like this locally and I will definitely be going back. If you are nearby and looking for somewhere good to eat, I would genuinely recommend giving Amelia’s a try."

"Visited this restaurant on Saturday 3 Jan, so it was quite a quiet evening just after new year etc. We received undivided friendly service from Afz who told us all about the business and hopes to open it at lunchtimes during the week. The service was quick and the meals were delicious. Naans were also delicious both flavours. Soft drinks sold at reasonable prices, as they don't serve alcoholic drinks which should be respected. Why not visit and support your local Indian Restaurant in Purley. I suggest Tescos for Parking as only just across the road"

"We ordered a delivery direct from Amelia's website for the first time last Saturday. We had not heard anything about the restaurant so kept an open mind. The food arrived within the time promised and was piping hot. We ordered chicken passanda and chicken dahnsak. Both dishes were excellent. The rice was perfectly cooked and the breads that we ordered were also excellent. The portion sizes were good and we even had enough left for a small meal the next day. We will definitely order again and hope that the restaurant does well. We might try to eat in next time but I think we will need to book as the restaurant looks fairly small from the outside."

"I had a fantastic experience ordering from this Indian restaurant. The food arrived very quickly, and everything was excellent. The lamb madras was rich and flavorful, the chicken patia had a perfect balance of sweet and sour, and the naan bread was soft and fresh. The Bombay aloo was also delicious and well-spiced. The person who took my order over the phone was friendly, polite, and made the whole process easy. Overall, great food, fast delivery, and wonderful service — a good all-round experience. Highly recommend.."

"Had a lovely time at this new establishment in Purley! Lovely staff, cordial atmosphere and a good amount of seating, this place has a lot of potential! My favourites were the Lamb Bhuna and Khodu curry which were absolutely delicious! Will definitely come again."

"Came here with a friend for dinner and the service was really fantastic they very friendly and were willing to make accommodations to my dish when I wanted a dry curry to be more saucy! The food had a lovely flavour and all of the chutneys and sauces that came were delicious. I had the vegetarian kalari (made saucy), palak paneer in which the paneer had been grilled first which made it firmer in texture which was lovely with a super tasty garlic naan. We also had some alcohol free wine which was on the sweet side but not overwhelmingly! Overall it was lovely, though not much decor, and very reasonably priced!!"

"Really loved the food and service here, could tell it was all freshly made and catered to me being dairy free which is rare and greatly appreciated. The sobji puri and the lamb nawabi with the special pilau were our favorites. Will be back soon!"
